President Donald Trump stated Sunday that federal companies should prioritize American-made merchandise in authorities buying, touting efforts to tighten enforcement of “Purchase American” insurance policies and restrict exceptions that permit international items.

The order directs the Federal Commerce Fee to prioritize enforcement towards firms that falsely label merchandise as U.S.-made or make deceptive origin claims in violation of present legislation.
