MANILA, Philippines – The Senate on Tuesday, September 23, resumes its probe into the federal government’s anomalous flood management initiatives.
Tuesday’s listening to is the fifth because it began in August. Senate Professional Tempore Panfilo “Ping” Lacson, chairman of the Senate blue ribbon committee, mentioned on Monday, September 22, that new proof from former Bulacan engineer Brice Hernandez might be introduced.
The fifth listening to comes after hundreds of Filipinos marched on Sunday, September 21, to protest billions of pesos in public funds allegedly misplaced to corruption in flood initiatives.
