An exhibition of some 70 artworks by the Spanish artist Remedios Varo will open on the Louisiana Museum of Fashionable Artwork, a vacation spot museum on the coast simply north of Copenhagen, this fall. The present, “Portray Magic,” is on view from September 18, 2026, via January 10, 2027, and consists of examples of Varo’s work, drawings, and pictures. It would subsequently journey to the Moderna Museet in Stockholm.
Varo was born in Spain in 1908 and left for Paris when she was 19, the place she fell in with artists like André Breton, Max Ernst, Salvador Dalí, and Leonora Carrington. She settled in Mexico Metropolis within the early Nineteen Forties, the place her profession blossomed. She had her profitable exhibitions in 1955 and 1958, and died of a coronary heart assault just a few years later, in 1963.
