MANILA, Philippines – The standard Misa Mayor for the Feast of Jesus Nazareno is ready for midnight on Friday, January 9, on the Quirino Grandstand in Manila.
Bishop Rufino “Jun” Sescon Jr. of the Diocese of Balanga in Bataan will have fun the Mass. Sescon was as soon as rector of the Quiapo Church or the Minor Basilica and Nationwide Shrine of Jesus Nazareno.
The Misa Mayor precedes the Traslacion, the annual procession of the picture of Jesus Nazareno via the streets of Manila. Hundreds of thousands of devotees attend the Traslacion, which is anticipated to start earlier than daybreak on Friday.
