To the editor: Throughout President Trump’s first time period, the Atlantic printed an article titled “The infantilization of the President,” chronicling the day-to-day administration and redirection of Trump’s runaway impulses. These had been the times when the White Home had some adults within the room. Not.
Now, accountability for the infantilization of the president has shifted to the leaders of Europe, who’ve discovered to adapt their interactions with Trump (“Trump heads to NATO as tensions simmer with Europe,” July 6). They flatter, they keep away from confrontation, they placate, they politely deal with him as one in all them. They’ll’t wait till he’s out of workplace.
