Electronic mail Risk Shuts Faculties in NW Ontario Communities Friday

Faculties throughout a number of northwestern Ontario communities closed Friday morning after receiving an e mail risk, authorities confirmed.

Closures in Key Areas

The Keewatin-Patricia District Faculty Board (KPDSB) shut down all colleges in Sioux Lookout, Pink Lake, and Dryden, together with the Dryden board workplace. The board issued an announcement on Fb shortly earlier than 7 a.m. CT, stating: “As a response to an e mail risk acquired by colleges within the above areas, and out of an abundance of warning, colleges in these areas shall be closed at this time till the risk has been resolved.”

Faculties Remaining Open

KPDSB colleges in Kenora, Vermilion Bay, Ear Falls, Pickle Lake, Savant Lake, Ignace, and Upsala proceed regular operations Friday.

Sioux Narrows Public Faculty additionally closed for the day resulting from inclement climate, the board famous on social media.
