In a single day, Israel’s safety cupboard permitted a proposal from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to occupy Gaza Metropolis, a plan that neither the Israeli safety institution nor nearly all of the Israeli public helps. I spoke with my colleague Yair Rosenberg concerning the hole between what Israel needs and what Netanyahu is doing, and what this plan may imply for the way forward for the area.
