As a candidate in 2024, President Trump promised – typically – to finish what he and different conservatives describe as “woke” insurance policies.

On his first day in workplace, he signed govt orders rolling again insurance policies round range, fairness and inclusion — and people coverage adjustments have continued over the past six months of the second Trump administration.

One of many oldest civil rights organizations within the nation now warns that the administration’s insurance policies have thrust Black People — and your complete nation — right into a “state of emergency.”

NPR’s Juana Summers speaks with Marc Morial, the president and CEO of the Nationwide City League.
