The son of Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist Michael Chabon is dealing with a felony rape cost for allegedly choking and beating a girl whereas molesting her, Manhattan prosecutors stated.
Abraham Chabon, 20, was charged June 12 with second-degree strangulation and first-degree rape earlier within the alleged Jan. 25, 2024 assault, in accordance with a felony grievance unsealed in courtroom.
The youthful Chabon, a pupil at NYU, made his second courtroom look Wednesday after being arraigned on the costs final week.
He’s accused of grabbing the sufferer by the neck, making it troublesome for her to breathe, then carried her to a mattress the place he raped her and “struck [the victim] repeatedly within the face… inflicting stupor and lack of imaginative and prescient in a single eye,” the grievance stated.
