In its revised 2026 finances plan, the DPWH slashed P255 billion — almost 29% — from its unique P881-billion proposal beneath the Nationwide Expenditure Program.
The division eliminated all the P252-billion price of flood management initiatives. The company additionally trimmed P3 billion price of duplicate or accomplished initiatives, akin to overlapping highway sections, rock netting, and cat’s eye and stud installations.
