Rep. Mike Lawler, a Republican from New York’s seventeenth Congressional District, mentioned Friday he’s nearing a call on whether or not he’ll run for governor, positioning himself as a possible challenger to Gov. Kathy Hochul, a Democrat, in 2026, The Hill reported.
