An individual was critically injured after a capturing “presumably related” with an illustration in downtown Salt Lake Metropolis, police stated.
An individual of curiosity within the capturing is in custody. The sufferer was taken to the hospital with life-threatening accidents, police stated.

The capturing occurred not removed from Salt Lake Metropolis’s Pioneer Park the place a big crowd, estimated to be 10,000, had gathered for a march, in response to police.
“The capturing at tonight’s protest in Salt Lake Metropolis is a deeply troubling act of violence and has no place in our public sq.,” Utah Gov. Spencer Cox stated in a social media submit. “That is an energetic scenario, and we’re working carefully with regulation enforcement to make sure accountability.”
