Peacock has launched the teaser for Satan in Disguise, its upcoming true-crime drama about considered one of America’s most infamous serial killers. The collection will likely be launched on Thursday, October 16.
“From 1972-1978, thirty-three younger males had been kidnapped, murdered and buried in a crawl area beneath their killer’s home. And nobody was the wiser. Not for all these years. Why? He was charming and humorous. Had a very good, All-American job. Was a neighborhood chief,” reads the official synopsis. “He even volunteered to entertain sick children…whereas dressed as a clown. The miniseries peels again the twisted layers of Gacy’s life whereas weaving in heartrending tales of his victims; exploring the grief, guilt, and trauma of their households and mates; and exposing the systemic failures, missed alternatives and societal prejudices that fueled his reign of terror.”
