Former President Barack Obama warned of “harmful tendencies” rising from the Trump administration, saying its insurance policies “put the liberties of all People in danger.”
On X, Obama cited an interview with Ezra Klein of The New York Occasions and a journalist on “The Ezra Klein Present,” throughout which they mentioned President Donald Trump’s menace to ship Nationwide Guard troops into New York and Chicago, the previous president’s hometown.

Earlier within the week, Trump criticized Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson over town’s crime fee. The governor has mentioned he’ll resist any federal intervention.
