The Star Wars cinematic universe is returning to Seattle in a giant means on the large display in September with a two-week celebration of your complete movie franchise at SIFF Cinema Downtown.
The marathon screening will function 11 titles, from the unique 1977 basic “A New Hope” to the standalone Star Wars tales “Rogue One” and “Solo.”
The primary weekend, beginning Sept. 5, will present the movies in chronological order, “from Anakin’s podracing days to Rey’s ultimate rise,” SIFF stated on its web site.
The second weekend will function the movies as they had been launched and first seen by the world. “Relive the stunning reveals and the unique trilogy magic as they unfolded throughout many years,” SIFF stated.
Beforehand referred to as the Cinerama, the theater initially opened in 1963, only a 12 months after Seattle hosted the World’s Truthful. It was rescued by the late Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen in 1988, and put via a multi-million-dollar renovation earlier than reopening in 1999 as a high-tech vacation spot for motion pictures.
