OAKLAND — A 42-year-old man has been charged with homicide in the Oct. 2 deadly capturing of a 17-year-old boy — who the suspect instructed police he noticed attempting to steal a automobile outdoors his West Oakland house, in line with authorities and courtroom paperwork.
Dante T. Floyd is charged within the killing of Myles Wooten, of Hayward. The 2 didn’t know one another, authorities mentioned.
The capturing occurred about 4:44 a.m. Oct. 2 within the 2100 block of Myrtle Avenue.
Based on courtroom paperwork, recovered video surveillance confirmed Floyd popping out of his house and firing a number of pictures at Wooten and one other one that have been “trying to take a automobile” that was parked outdoors Floyd’s house. The automobile didn’t belong to Floyd.
