MANILA, Philippines – Catholics commemorate the crucifixion and dying of Jesus Christ on Good Friday, April 3.
They collect in church buildings to take heed to a retelling of the Ardour of Christ, honor the cross, and obtain communion. Following the solemn service, conventional processions of pictures of Jesus, Mary, and Catholic saints are sometimes held.
