To the editor: Would you see an unlicensed physician who by no means accomplished residency in your medical care? Most People wouldn’t.
That’s the reason Casey Means’ nomination to function “the nation’s physician” is so troubling (“Surgeon normal nominee faces sharp questions on vaccines, contraception and {qualifications},” Feb. 25). Setting politics apart, the position of United States surgeon normal requires foundational medical coaching and credentials that replicate the very best requirements of my career. With out these primary {qualifications}, the nomination dangers undermining public belief in healthcare at a time when it’s already fragile.
The surgeon normal ought to embody the credibility and integrity of American medication.
