To the editor: Lastly, excellent news among the many stream of doom and gloom protection of what’s taking place in Los Angeles (“With a surging residency fee, this neighborhood is reworking L.A.,” June 17). The comeback of downtown Los Angeles is not any shock to me, an 87-year-old who has lived in DTLA for 10 years. I moved downtown to be inside strolling distance of the foremost arts, cultural and sports activities venues that I like. Not solely might I ditch my automobile, however I might be dwelling in a various neighborhood stuffed with millennials and their canines together with expats of all ages.

That lure of downtown continues to be alive and kicking as we speak because it attracts new residents regardless of tough instances. The resiliency of downtown was demonstrated within the aftermath of the devastating pandemic which, I imagine, was a consider fostering the comeback. That resiliency stays at play as we speak because the downtown neighborhood works with public officers to assist advance options to the foremost challenges besetting our neighborhood and people throughout the town. Might the excellent news proceed.
