To the editor: Yearly, we watch “When Harry Met Sally…” between Christmas and New 12 months. We had simply watched it the night time earlier than this op-ed was printed within the paper (“The place did all of the feel-good films go?,” Dec. 25). Tears of happiness nonetheless roll down my cheeks with Harry’s declaration of affection, wanting the remainder of his life to start out as quickly as potential. Boy, do we’d like feel-good films now.

The place are these good younger filmmakers who could make us consider that there’s hope, love and caring in a world so devastatingly divided? Why should each movie be filled with angst? Why do you suppose we return to “fortunately ever after,” and people movies final in our cultural consciousness? Please carry on the romance, laughter and household.
