To the editor: The query that I had when studying tradition critic Mary McNamara’s column on Meghan Markle’s present is, why does Markle need to be relatable and is that even her intent (“Why is Meghan Markle losing her time ‘With Love’ when she might simply return to performing?” Sept. 5)? Many exhibits enchantment to area of interest audiences and function aspirational or escapist programming. Let’s ask ourselves, why is the expectation that Markle’s ought to differ? What is that this curious fascination with needing to see her be relatable? I imagine Markle ought to preserve going and do no matter it’s that she desires to do in her profession and life.

To the editor: I’m a 79-year-old retired Realtor dwelling in Los Angeles who loves cooking and adorning exhibits, and I urge to vary with McNamara’s column. I watched all of Season 1 and cherished it. My husband, who additionally enjoys the present, and I are actually watching Season 2. We really tried a few Markle’s recipes, and so they have been scrumptious.
Will we add flowers to our meals? No. Are we bothered that she does? No. Can we afford a cottage for candle-making, and so forth.? No. Does this evoke pangs of wealth disparity in us? No. Did I even know that was a $498 Eileen Fisher sweater? Heavens, no, nor do I care.
