Jenna Ortega has hailed her Beetlejuice Beetlejuice co-star Catherine O’Hara as “one of many greats”.

The 24-year-old star took to Instagram on Sunday (01.02.26) to pay tribute to the Canadian actress, who handed away on Friday (30.01.26) on the age of 71, and stated that she is going to “eternally cherish” the time they spent working collectively on the 2024 film.
Jenna wrote on the social media platform: “Catherine is among the most lovely individuals I’ve ever had the honour of attending to work with and know. I will eternally cherish the time we shared collectively, and all the things she taught me.”
The Wednesday star added: “A large an inspiration in some ways. One of many greats. Thanks a lot for all of it.”
Jenna’s message follows from a bunch of tributes from stars who’ve labored with O’Hara – together with on-screen son in House Alone Macaulay Culkin.
The 45-year-old actor posted two throwback pictures of himself and Catherine and wrote on Instagram: “Mama.
“I assumed we had time.
“I wished extra.
“I wished to take a seat in a chair subsequent to you.
“I heard you.
“However I had a lot extra to say.
“I really like you.
“I’ll goodbye. (sic)”
In the meantime, Catherine’s Schitt’s Creek co-star Eugene Levy said that “phrases appear insufficient” following her passing after a “brief sickness”.
In an announcement given to Us Weekly, he stated: “Phrases appear insufficient to specific the loss I really feel immediately. I had the honour of realizing and dealing with the nice Catherine O’Hara for over fifty years.
“From our beginnings on the Second Metropolis stage, to SCTV, to the flicks we did with Chris Visitor, to our six wonderful years on Schitt’s Creek, I cherished our working relationship, however most of all our friendship.”
The American Pie star additionally expressed his condolences to O’Hara’s husband Bo Welch and sons Matthew and Luke.
