Sony Footage Animation’s upcoming animated sports activities comedy GOAT is upping the ante with a contemporary spherical of voice expertise added to its roster. Set to hit theaters in 2026, the movie will now characteristic Jennifer Hudson (Dreamgirls), Aaron Pierre (Mufasa: The Lion King), chart-topping artist Jelly Roll, TV persona Ayesha Curry (Ayesha’s Selfmade), comic Andrew Santino (The Catastrophe Artist), Bobby Lee (MADtv), Sherry Cola (Pleasure Journey), and Eduardo Franco (Stranger Issues).
These newcomers be part of an already spectacular lineup that features Stephen Curry, Caleb McLaughlin, Gabrielle Union, Nick Kroll, Nicola Coughlan, David Harbour, Jenifer Lewis, and Patton Oswalt.
Plot Abstract:
Set in a vibrant animal-centric world, GOAT is a high-energy motion comedy that follows the story of Will — a pint-sized goat with outsized aspirations. When Will will get the possibility to compete professionally in “roarball” — a fierce, co-ed, full-contact sport performed by the quickest and strongest creatures — he faces severe skepticism from his new teammates. Undeterred, Will is decided to interrupt boundaries and show that even the smallest gamers can dominate the sport.
Behind the Scenes:
The movie is helmed by Emmy-nominated director Tyree Dillihay, identified for his work on Bob’s Burgers, Good Instances, and Da Jammies. Adam Rosette (Harvey Ladies Endlessly) joins as co-director. The undertaking is a collaboration between Unanimous Media’s Stephen Curry and Erick Peyton, and Trendy Magic’s Michelle Raimo Kouyate, Adam Rosenberg, and Rodney Rothman. David Schulenburg serves as co-producer, whereas Rick Mischel and Fonda Snyder are on board as government producers.
