San Diego police are investigating after three federal officers fired at a 59-year-old man who allegedly sped via secondary inspection on the Otay Mesa border crossing Monday night, practically operating into Customs and Border Safety officers, officers mentioned.
The motive force stopped after being fired upon and surrendered. The person was not struck by gunfire however suffered minor accidents after the windshield was shot and damaged items of glass hit his face, mentioned police Lt. Arturo Swadener.
The incident started round 9 p.m. when the person tried to enter the U.S. via the Otay Mesa Port of Entry and was referred to secondary inspection, Swadener mentioned.
