Bobby Whitlock, the musician who co-founded Derek and the Dominos with Eric Clapton, has died, based on his supervisor. He was 77.
Whitlock died Sunday morning of most cancers, supervisor Carol Kaye confirmed to CBS Information. He was surrounded by his household in Texas, Kaye stated.
The singer-songwriter was a keyboard participant and vocalist for Derek and the Domino, the rock band greatest recognized for its 1971 album, “Layla and Different Assorted Love Songs.”

Filmmaker and Whitlock’s longtime pal, John Fusco, remembered the artist as a serious affect, a rock ‘n’ roll legend and a storyteller.
