To the editor: European leaders describe the battle with Iran as “not our battle” (“Ukraine’s help in opposition to Iran exhibits who the U.S. allies actually are,” March 18). A shocking angle when contemplating, had the U.S. taken an identical stance in World Struggle I and World Struggle II, Europe’s place would have been far much less sure and presumably a distinct panorama altogether.
