After teasing a brand new album in characteristically cryptic style, the Avalanches are again with new music. The trio of Robbie Chater, Tony Di Blasi, and Andy Szekeres made the ebullient new single ‘Collectively’ in collaboration with Nikki Nair, Jessy Lanza, and Prentiss, emphasizing a communal spirit. As a press launch notes, the accompanying video marks “the primary time Apple has allowed somebody to anthropomorphise considered one of their merchandise.” I’ll be transferring it straight into my very own iPod Basic. The Avalanches’ final album was 2020’s We Will At all times Love You. In 2024, the group featured on Jamie xx’s In Waves.
