If Democrats do not win the presidency in 2028, they could have an extended wait. 4 years later in 2032, their path to 270 electoral votes will get even steeper and their anti-Trump rhetoric will sound even staler. The following presidential election will not be "now or by no means" for Democrats, however their future seems to be a lot worse with out it.
