A winter storm on the East Coast has left post-Christmas vacationers in a ho-ho-horrible place as airports see mass cancellations and delays.
The web site FlightAware confirmed that as of seven:50 a.m. ET on Saturday, 892 flights inside, into or out of the U.S. have been delayed and 637 have been canceled.
The web site’s “Distress Map” reveals New York space airports, reminiscent of John F. Kennedy Worldwide Airport, LaGuardia Airport and Newark Liberty Worldwide Airport, experiencing the brunt of the journey chaos.

New Jersey and elements of New York are below state of emergency bulletins as over 50 million People are set to be impacted by the winter storm barreling by the northeast, Fox Climate reported. Officers in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvania are urging vacationers and residents to train warning through the storm, in line with Fox Climate. Moreover, a flurry of winter climate alerts have been issued in areas from New York Metropolis to Philadelphia.
As of seven:52 a.m. ET, JFK Airport, which topped FlightAware’s Distress Map listing, had seen 30 delays and 77 cancellations since 5:00 a.m. ET. The Federal Aviation Administration mentioned that flights arriving on the airport had been delayed by, on common, two hours and 37 minutes.
Saturday’s delays and cancellations have been preceded by related journey chaos on Friday because the northeast braced for the storm. On Friday, a complete of 8,816 flights inside, into or out of the U.S. had been delayed and 1,710 had been canceled, in line with FlightAware.
