WASHINGTON — The U.S. navy stated Monday that it had performed one other strike in opposition to a ship it stated was smuggling medication within the japanese Pacific Ocean, killing one individual.

In a social media put up, U.S. Southern Command stated, “Intelligence confirmed the low-profile vessel was transiting alongside identified narco-trafficking routes within the Japanese Pacific and was engaged in narco-trafficking operations.” Southern Command offered no proof that the vessel was engaged in drug smuggling.

A video posted by U.S. Southern Command exhibits splashes of water close to one facet of the boat. After a second salvo, the rear of the boat catches hearth. Extra splashes engulf the craft and the fireplace grows. Within the ultimate second of the video, the vessel may be seen adrift with a big patch of fireside alongside it.

Earlier movies of U.S. boat strikes confirmed vessels immediately exploding, suggesting missile strikes. Some strike movies even had seen rocket-like projectiles coming down on the boats.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth speaks at the Reagan National Defense Forum at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California, on Saturday.

The Trump administration has stated the strikes have been meant to cease the stream of medication into the U.S. and improve stress on Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.
