Based mostly on a narrative by Spielberg, the screenplay is by David Koepp, whose earlier work with Spielberg consists of the scripts for Jurassic Park, The Misplaced World: Jurassic Park, Battle of the Worlds and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Cranium.
