US actress and activist Jane Fonda talks to Rappler CEO Maria Ressa about how democracy is underneath assault by disinformation, AI, and narrative warfare — and the way storytellers, journalists, and communities can push again

Over 550 celebrities in the USA relaunched the Committee for the First Modification, a bunch initially fashioned through the post-World Struggle II Crimson Scare.

The group’s intent is to defend American constitutional rights, saying, “The federal authorities is as soon as once more engaged in a coordinated marketing campaign to silence critics within the authorities, the media, the judiciary, academia, and the leisure business.”

The Committee for the First Modification is led by actress and activist Jane Fonda, whose father, actor Henry Fonda, was one of many early members of the primary Committee for the First Modification.

On the committee’s second assembly, Fonda talks to Rappler chief govt officer Maria Ressa about how democracy is underneath assault by disinformation, synthetic intelligence, and narrative warfare — and the way storytellers, journalists, and communities can push again. – Rappler.com
