Three Chinese language residents have been arrested in Georgia’s capital, Tbilisi, whereas trying to illegally buy 2 kilograms (4.4 kilos) of uranium, the nation’s State Safety Service mentioned Saturday.

The suspects deliberate to move the nuclear materials to China via Russia, the safety service mentioned in an announcement, whereas additionally releasing video footage of the detention operation.

“Three Chinese language residents have been detained in Tbilisi whereas trying to illegally buy 2 kilograms of nuclear materials — uranium,” the company mentioned, including that members of the legal group deliberate to pay $400,000 (344,000 euros) for the radioactive materials.

In response to the authorities, a Chinese language citizen already in Georgia, who was in breach of Georgian visa laws, introduced specialists to Georgia to seek for uranium all through the nation.
