Oscar-nominated actor and singer Cynthia Erivo is ready to guide the upcoming animated movie-musical Unhealthy Fairies, a magical comedy that includes unique songs by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, the Tony-winning duo behind Six: The Musical. The movie is slated for launch on Might twenty first, 2027.
Directed by Megan Nicole Dong (Centaurworld) and co-directed by Olivier Staphylas (Puss in Boots, Want Dragon), Unhealthy Fairies will likely be produced underneath a brand new partnership between Warner Bros. Footage Animation and Locksmith Animation, with visible results and animation by DNEG Animation. The screenplay comes from Deborah Frances-White, greatest recognized for The Responsible Feminist podcast.
Erivo will voice Jayne Staplegun, a rebellious fairy whose defiance units off chaos in a world ruled by strict magical guidelines. The position marks Erivo’s first main efficiency in a serious animated characteristic, following acclaimed turns in Harriet, Depraved, and Genius: Aretha.
Including much more musical star energy, Isabella “Machine” Summers of Florence + The Machine will compose the rating and contribute extra songs, mixing her signature ethereal sound with Marlow and Moss’s sharp, fashionable pop sensibilities.
