To the editor: I used to be to learn in regards to the good-looking return on funding that group faculties present their college students (“These L.A.-area group faculties are the very best return on funding, research exhibits,” Sept. 16). Within the early Eighties, after serving within the Peace Corps, I returned house and determined to check for an engineering diploma. A really sensible advisor (my youthful sister) informed me to take my decrease division lessons at a group faculty. So, I attended Los Angeles Metropolis School and had a slew of good, devoted lecturers for physics, chemistry and arithmetic.
I went on to California State College Northridge to complete my diploma after which loved an extended, satisfying profession on the Los Angeles Division of Water and Energy. I can’t suggest group faculties strongly sufficient.
