To the editor: Mother and father in California have the correct to not vaccinate their kids (“California has a strict vaccine mandate. Will it survive the Trump administration?,” Sept. 10). What they can’t do is to refuse to vaccinate their kids and ship their kids to public faculty and put different peoples’ kids in danger for infectious ailments. The selection is theirs — both take part in the neighborhood that protects all kids or forfeit the advantages given to all those that do take part.

To the editor: Not talked about within the article, among the many many assaults on vaccines not too long ago, was the one by Well being and Human Companies Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on the Vaccine Harm Compensation Program. The power of vaccine producers to provide these brokers and be shielded from malicious litigation has been a boon to delivering vaccines. Now, Kennedy desires to incorporate autism as one of many lined penalties of vaccines, regardless of the science, doubtlessly bankrupting a profitable program.
