To the editor: It’s laborious to imagine that Gov. Gavin Newsom is probably going contemplating a run for the presidency in 2028 (“Newsom must cease kidding round. He’s working for president,” July 21). His resume in working California shouldn’t be one that may encourage confidence that he could lead on our nation. We’ve a few of the best taxes within the nation, highest gasoline costs and highest home-buying prices. We’ve spent $24 billion on homelessness over a five-year interval, but we nonetheless have the largest homeless inhabitants. We’ve spent billions on a bullet practice that appears unlikely to be accomplished.
Perhaps our governor might spend the remainder of his time period attempting to unravel a few of these main points that have an effect on the lives of so many in our state.
