DIIV have introduced that their new album is named ZIRP!, and it arrives on October 30. The shoegazers’ follow-up to Frog in Boiling Water was produced by A.G. Cook dinner, contemporary off his work on Charli XCX’s newest album Music, Vogue, Movie. Try the quilt paintings under.
DIIV didn’t share the tracklist or any singles from the album together with the announcement, opting as a substitute for cryptic teasers. Cook dinner posted concerning the album on his Tales, and a few followers acquired enterprise playing cards within the mail that led to the band’s web site. The pre-save web page introduces ZIRP! as such: “That is the brand new various. A brand new style for the twenty first century.” It sounds consistent with the post-genre framing of Cook dinner’s personal 2024 album Britpop.
