Home Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan issued a prison referral in opposition to former Particular Counsel Jack Smith on Wednesday for allegedly making “willfully and deliberately false statements” when testifying earlier than Congress final December.
“The Committee on the Judiciary writes to refer robust proof that seems to indicate Jack Smith, former Particular Counsel, knowingly made false statements throughout his December 17, 2025 deposition,” Jordan wrote in a letter despatched to Appearing Legal professional Normal Todd Blanche.
