Hannah Cole has introduced her debut album, Switchbacks, which can arrive on September 4 through Tight Knit. Following a few EPs, 2024’s Glisten and 2023’s Massive Chunk, it’s led by the brand new single ‘MMA’, which lays Cole’s tender vocals over grungegaze bliss. Cole recorded Switchbacks together with her ongtime collaborator and associate Josef Kuhn of their residence studio between 2024 and 2025. Sonny Diperri (American Soccer, Wisp, Julie) dealt with the blending. “Success is a second that comes and goes, however I feel the enjoyment and expertise that comes with making music is one thing I can take with me endlessly,” Cole stated in a press launch.
