Three Democratic congressional lawmakers who characterize Minnesota stated they have been denied entry to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility on the Whipple Federal Constructing in Minneapolis on Saturday.

Reps. Angie Craig, Ilhan Omar and Kelly Morrison advised reporters that they have been initially allowed into the constructing, however then knowledgeable they have to depart.

Morrrison stated in her personal social media put up that conducting oversight of “American taxpayer-funded services just isn’t solely our authorized proper, however our constitutional responsibility.”

Division of Homeland Safety spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin stated in a press release supplied to CBS Information Minnesota that lawmakers are required to offer seven days discover of congressional visits.
